Skin Care During Winter

Taking care of skin during winter is really  a tough job. Skin gets dried, start itching,  becomes rough and many other problems. Taking a extra care for your skin during winter is a must to retain your soft and glowing skin. Below are some methods which will help you to take care of your skin in winter.

Avocados

As you all know avocados are great for your skin and its anti aging property is a plus point to the skin. Make a paste of  avocado and add in few drops of lemon, mix it well. Apply this paste on face leave for 5-10 minutes and rinse with water. This reduces dryness of skin and also cleanses the skin. Another method of using avocados for dry skin is making a paste of avocado, papaya and banana. Apply this paste to your face and neck, leave it for 10-15 minutes and then wash with water.

Almond Oil

Almonds are great for skin and hair. Apply almond oil and massage a bit to dry areas, Leave it overnight and wash with water. This will nourishes the skin and tackles dryness and make your skin soft and supple.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is used for many of skin and hair problems. Pick a piece of aloe vera, wash it nicely with water, peel the outer skin and rub the aloe vera gel gently on skin. This will make your skin to glow and become soft.

Gram Flour

Mix 2-3 spoons of gram flour with milk and a pinch of turmeric and make a paste. Apply this paste to your face and neck, leave it for 5-10 minutes later rinse with water. This gives you smooth skin and will also remove sun tan.

Rose Water

Rose water is used as a refreshing agent for the skin, it will cleanses skin and make your skin look fresh. Apply the mixture of rose water and a bit of honey to dry areas. This will moisturizes the skin and removes dry skin.

Honey

Take 1 spoon of honey, 1 spoon of egg yolk and 2 spoon milk in a bowl. Mix it well and apply to your face, leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse with water. This results in soft and supple skin.

Coconut Milk

Apply and rub coconut milk to your face and body and leave it over night and rinse it in the morning with water. This reduce dry skin and helps remove dark spots and blemishes.

Cucumber

Cucumber removes dark spots, evens skin tone and refreshes skin. Apply fresh cucumber juice to face and let it sit for 5-10 minutes then rinse with water. This will freshen up your skin and removes dark circles under eyes.

Oil Bath

Oil bath is best during winter which will make your skin soft and glowing. Warm a cup of coconut oil and apply to your body and massage a bit which improves blood circulation. Leave it for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with water and a mild soap. This is one of my favorite method during winter to keep my skin soft.

Raw Milk

Take a cup of raw milk add in few drops of rose water and massage to your body and wash with lukewarm water. This helps to make your skin smooth and supple.

Tips

  • Use soap as less as possible during winters and opting for a mild or baby soap is great for your skin during winter.
  • Carry petroleum jelly while going out and apply whenever find dry and itchy skin.
  • Avoid using hot water and go for lukewarm water for bathing during winter.
  • Use oily moisturizers during winter and water based during summer.
